Review: The Best of Me

 I was so excited to finally get to watch The Best of me, after writing an article on it for one my classes I really wanted to see it for myself. It was said that it would be the next Notebook, after Nicholas Sparks books were made into movies many of them did well. I loved his two books The Last Song and The Lucky One but I was disappointed by the movies. Although I still do watch these movies again I guess I would have to say I am a fan of Nicholas Sparks. Though I have watched the movie The Best of Me, I still plan on reading the book so that I can compare. I was told before by a professor that books and movies should not be compared as they are two different mediums, but I will go against this as sometimes I cannot help it.

I would have to say I did like this movie, although I do not relate to this in real life. Growing up I realized that movies are nothing like real life and movies today make me look at things differently. This movie does cover love and loss and everyone can relate to it, we all have those what if moments. The movie shows the couple seeing each other for one more time, this does not happen to all of us, but it was nice to see that in the movie it can gave us the chance to see what it “might” be like.

From what I can see from this movie you can re-unite with someone you were once in love with, but it does not lead to getting back together. Things cannot just go back to the way they were, you can see them again and still have feelings with them but sometimes getting back together just doesn’t happen. I guess having feelings for someone doesn’t mean you have to be with them, because of circumstances having them in your life is just as far as it can go. That’s ok, having someone in your life is better that not having them at all. Feelings can’t be helped and there are so many things in life that make being in a relationship complicated.

You can’t go back to the past and even if you do it won’t be the same.

Day 30: Anything you want to post about

Just last night I was looking through someone's instagram post and I felt a bit of envy towards her. Looking through her posts I realized how I haven't finished a book in ages, actually the last book I finished was last christmas break and it feels weird, it doesn't feel right. I miss reading! I've started many books but I haven't finished them and so I have decided to get back to reading and to make a list of the books I've read. I always say I will do something but I never actually do it. I want to re-invent myself and do things I haven't done before. After weeks of binge watching I have decided I  need to stop this, I need to do something with my life. I am not getting anywhere by sleeping, watching tv shows and dragging myself to school every day. I need to pick my self up and I have found one way in doing this and that is to start reading again. 

I've made a list of the books I remember reading so far, I know there's more but I honestly don't remember, I've been reading since I was in primary (elementary) school so I know it's been quite a lot already.

50 Shades of Grey

After a year of owning the book 50 Shades of Grey I finally finished it. When reading this book it came to my mind, why in the world would they turn this into a movie? How will they do it? I slightly fell in love with Christian Grey, he really knows how to pleasure a girl. I don't have much experience or rather any at all to do with sex or love. But its such a passionate book and imagining every scene can tickle a girls senses, not saying that I would want to be Ana.

But my thoughts to making the movie is, yes I can imagine Jamie Doran as Christian Grey but I'm not to sure about the actress they picked for Ana. Jamie Doran looks similar ro what I would picture Christian with his hair and eyes and body and he looks pretty good in suit and probablt without one. Also I'm excited yet nervous to see how they will make this into a movie, though it probably won't have the same effect as the book has as our minds go crazy when reading all the details. I doubt they will show it here in the Philippines they didn't show Springbreakers let alone 50 Shades. I'm still thinking about whether or not I would watch it, I would love to but with who?

I am a huge fan of Hilary Duff! I absolutely loved her, she was my idol back when I was a child. So I was really excited to see she had written a book. I started the book during my 1st sem at college but then I was too busy and had so  much to do. I planned on saving it for sem break. Even though I started it during school days I read it from the beginning again, it was a bit of a drag as it is a slow book so I didn't think I would finish it. But then I kept thinking this book was written by my idol so I had to finish it and when I got further into the book... I began to fall in love with it! I loved it! I could actually imagine it being made into a movie; it had such a good story I loved it! I want the second book I regret not buying it. I didn't buy it because I thought I wouldn't finish the first book.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven

One of the most inspiring books I've ever read! I believe that everything happens for a reason and this book backed me up. An old man before reaching heaven is confronted and gets to meet five people in his life; some strangers other family or friends. He is then shown why they entered his life. There are so many things that you can learn from this book. One is that all the people in your life are there for a reason whether they did good or bad to your life...I guess if you look close enough then you can see the real reason other than that just let it be shown to you. Don't go looking for it! 

Ten things we did (and probably shouldn't have)

I remember reading this book and I fell in love! I read this book at first because of the title. There are things we have all done that look back and thing maybe we shouldn't have done that. I have no regrets but sometimes that phrase pops into mind. Just like her we have all done crazy, silly things like lie. Which is something we've all experienced. But its a book that a lot of girls can relate to! Just like the movie LOL.
